ceramic tileCeramic tile is one of the most popular types of flooring material, because it is durable and versatile. Especially when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, this popular tile is definitely preferred by business owners and homeowners alike. The array of colors and patterns makes ceramic tile a top choice when it comes to flooring.

Manufacturers make ceramic tile from clay, sourcing ideal natural materials from different parts of the world. They grind the clay into the proper mixture and add water and other chemicals. They shape the tile and then dry it. Then, they apply the glaze to add texture and color. They fire each tile in a kiln and then allow it to cool properly. The result is a hard, stain-resistant tile that is ready for installation.

Flooring installers can install these strong and beautiful tiles over existing tile flooring, vinyl flooring, concrete, laminate, and a wood subfloor. When it comes to choosing a strong, low-maintenance flooring material, this tile is definitely the way to go.
