ceramic tile

Ceramic tile is one of the most popular types of flooring material, because it is durable and versatile. Especially when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, this popular tile is definitely preferable by business owners and home owners alike. The array of colors and patterns make ceramic tile a top choice when it comes to flooring.

Ceramic tile is made from clay, with different parts of the world supplying the ideal natural substance that makes the best tile. The clay is ground into the proper mixture and water and other chemicals and substances are added. The tile is shaped and then dried. The glaze, which brings the texture and color, is applied. Each tile is then fired in the kiln and allowed to cool properly. The result is a hard, stain-resistant tile that is ready for installation.

Flooring installers can install these strong and beautiful tiles over existing tile flooring, vinyl flooring, concrete, laminate, and a wood sub floor. When it comes to choosing a strong, low-maintenance flooring material, ceramic tile is definitely the way to go.
