Wood flooring is highly regarded as a natural and durable choice for homes and businesses. Besides bringing a natural quality to the indoors, hardwood flooring is easy to care for and will last for many years without losing its appeal. One of the things that people really like about hardwood flooring is that no two floors are the same, and in fact, each wood plank is unique. This is due to the patterns in the wood that only nature can create.

Mineral streaks in wood flooring are highly prized as part of the unique patterns that make each plank look so distinct. These dark marks are caused by different minerals that the tree absorbed from its environment when it was alive and growing. While the mineral streaks look interesting, it’s important for installers of hardwood flooring to ensure that the flooring looks unified and there aren’t clusters of planks that look the same in one part of the room and absent in the rest of the floor pattern.

When hardwood flooring is properly installed, the wood patterns should look unique yet unified. This is the best way to get that natural and beautiful look that people want to see in a hardwood floor.
