flooring inspectorsFlooring inspectors have a lot of responsibility to their clients. They must assess each problem and flooring situation using years of experience, an unbiased opinion, and back everything up with facts and evidence. There are several steps that flooring inspectors go through to complete an on-site investigation.

First, the flooring inspector should look into the manufacturer’s warranty for the flooring in question. It can provide a lot of information on the materials, ideal installation conditions, and performance expectations. When flooring inspectors have this information, they’ll be able to compare it to the actual flooring they are looking at.

Next, flooring inspectors need to gather information about the flooring in question. They need to assess the history of the installation and follow up on any details. They should interview the owner and discover the current and past use, including how the flooring is usually maintained and how often. Any details that relate to the flooring will give the inspector a better idea of what’s happening with the area in question.

Finally, flooring inspectors should perform any tests they need to get an accurate idea of what is happening with the flooring. This could include moisture tests, fiber tests, chemical tests, and more. Test results are evidence in an issue or dispute between the manufacturer and others.

Flooring inspectors need to do a thorough assessment of the carpeting that is the center of the dispute. Then, they can present the findings to interested parties with confidence and accuracy.
