What exactly is a professional carpet inspector? When it comes to a residential or commercial space, the floor covering is one of the largest investments the owner can make. From carpet and laminate to hardwood, vinyl, or tile, there are times when these floor coverings do not perform the way they should. There are many times when the owner or another party wants to understand the problems with the floor covering. It’s then that they call in a professional carpet inspector.

A professional carpet inspector is someone who is specifically trained. They perform inspections of all different types of floor coverings and installation jobs. To become a true professional, the inspector must have certification from a nationally recognized flooring organization. Of course, experience in the flooring industry is certainly an added benefit of hiring a professional flooring inspector.

The carpet inspector provides an in-depth analysis of the area in question. They assess the material itself and evaluate the installation job. During the inspection, the professional will do on-site testing and take photographs. At times, there may be samples taken to send to a lab. Above all, the flooring inspector documents all the findings and records the results of all tests. In no time, they complete the evaluation and the tests. The inspector then prepares a detailed report based on the findings.

The professional carpet inspector cannot be biased toward any side. Therefore, they can provide a fair and accurate assessment. All parties can rely on the results because the inspector bases their report on the findings alone. Professional, certified flooring inspectors are invaluable when it comes to sorting out issues with floor coverings.
