The carpet inspector will be called in to thoroughly examine the carpet and ascertain what the problems are and whether or not any party is at fault. The carpet inspector will look closely at the area and make their determination. Because they are unbiased, they get no real gain from the outcome. Most carpet inspectors provide a detailed report of the issues and the findings.
The interested parties may vary depending on the circumstance. Traditionally, they can be the manufacturer, installer, distributor, or end-user consumer. The carpet inspector only needs to report to the party that commissioned the inspection. This isn’t always the end-user. If other parties besides the one that commissioned the inspection request the information, the inspector should not comply.
