I was first exposed to the flooring business in the 1990s as I worked my way through college in construction. I did many different jobs, but flooring jobs were the best. As I learned more about the business, I grew to know the flooring industry very well. Installation, managing people, working with clients, and billing—I figured out what it takes to run a successful flooring company.
My custom flooring business opened so many doors for me professionally. I was the flooring expert for the Tom Martino Troubleshooter radio show, and started my own blog about flooring and related issues. As a certified floor inspector as well as a certified walkway safety auditor, I am frequently called on to be an expert witness in court for slip and fall cases. Membership in several flooring and walkway professional associations has increased my knowledge even more.
Along the way, I earned a Bachelor Degree in Geography and Marketing from Central Michigan University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Colorado State University. Over the years, I’ve become licensed and certified in dozens of specializations, from carpet inspection to moisture testing.
My goal is to share my expertise in flooring with as many people as possible—business owners, contractors, homeowners, manufacturers, attorneys, engineering firms, property management companies and more. Anyone who needs a walkway audit, expert witness, flooring services or a professional assessment of flooring or walkways of any kind should contact me.
At Flooristics, I promise to provide the most reliable and trusted service around when it comes to flooring and walkways.
