How do carpet experts know about installation guidelines?

When it comes to carpet installation guidelines, the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) provides the industry’s leading standards. The industry widely respects and follows these guidelines. Installers, retailers, and manufacturers can all refer to the CRI Carpet Installation Standard when working with various carpets. It’s the premier carpet installation guidelines in the country.

The CRI has compiled decades of information and knowledge to create the guidelines. In 2015, industry leaders updated the CRI standards after they met at a convention and provided input on new technology and installation techniques. There were also updates to how to address problems with subflooring, as well as other installation issues. These guidelines make it easier for everyone to achieve the same standards.

Anyone who is interested in getting the most recent updates for the CRI Carpet Installation Standard can view it online or download it as a digital file for computers, tablets, and smartphones.
